When the previous business American Apparel left the historic San Diego Hardware Building within the Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego, the building owners decided it was time to uproot their passion for Italian food, founding Cremolose Cafe.  Their affordable menu encompassed a comprehensive ensemble of Italian favorites and delicacies including gelato, pastries, cakes, paninis, pasta entrees and pizza.  Over 5,000 sf of seating area, this location could accommodate large parties in addition to providing more intimate settings for dates.  Refined with custom display cases imported from Italy, granite bar tops, and a custom built wine rack that stretches over an entire glass wall, Cremolose offers an exquisite dining atmosphere at an affordable price.  The tenant improvement also included a remodeled mezzanine seating area and spacious 5,500 sf kitchen in the basement.  Other improvements included new outdoor seating area, additional hvac units, and extensive electrical, lighting and plumbing work.  Cremolose Cafe opened in January 2012.
